Top EU court fines Poland 1m euros a day over judicial reform

The European Court of Justice has ordered Poland to pay a daily fine of more than 1 million euros ($1.16m) in a dispute about judicial reforms.
Poland ignored the EU's calls to suspend a disciplinary chamber for judges.
Even before the latest ruling, the governing PiS party in Poland accused the EU of blackmail.
