'Third Covid Wave To Hit Children More': Dr Devi Shetty To NDTV | The News

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a significant impact on the younger generation. Experts including Dr Devi Shetty, chairman of Narayana Health, said the third wave is bound to affect children more since most adults may already be infected or immunised. "Children are not mini-adults and Covid care for children will be entirely different from the first two waves," Dr Shetty said, adding there's a need for an army of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to prepare for the third wave. "We need to quickly vaccinate parents of young children. Inoculation parents from working class and low-income groups is the key," Dr Shetty told NDTV on The News.
