Thief DYES dog’s fur in failed attempt at disguise

When a man from Omsk, in Russia, let his black-and-white dog, Elsa, off her leash so she could run around in a parking lot, he was distraught when she didn’t return to him as usual.
After a phone call from a witness, he discovered she’d been seen in the company of a stranger.
With the help of a police officer, he tracked her down, only to find she looked very different – her coat was now completely BLACK. However, he said he knew it was Elsa simply by looking into her eyes.
The dog-napper had dyed the dog’s fur to disguise her, saying in his defense that he believed she’d been badly treated in her previous home.
