'There should be political repercussions if Boris Johnson misled parliament,' says Labour minister

The Shadow Women and Equalities Minister Anneliese Dodds has said there should be "political repercussions" if Boris Johnson is found to have misled parliament.

Mr Johnson told MPs the gatherings at Downing Street – held during national lockdowns - were within government guidelines.

However, an inquiry into whether he did in fact mislead Parliament says the evidence suggests it would have been “obvious” the events broke lockdown rules.
