Globally, 23 girls under the age of 18 are married every minute and the pandemic is causing a rise in child marriages.
The UN forecasts that up to 13 million girls may be forced into marriage over the next 10 years.
We spoke to Dola Akhter, a teenage activist from Bangladesh, the country with the highest child marriage rate in the world.
She and her colleagues have stopped more than 600 child marriages in the country in the last two years.
