It seems that the position of our solar system may have real effects on Earth’s events, and not in an astrological way. And want to hear something even wilder? Earth has a pulse. Well, sort of.

Scientists from New York University and the Carnegie Institution of Science analyzed 89 major geological events from the past 260 million years—everything from mass extinctions to volcanic activity, sea-level fluctuations to continental plate shifts.

And far from being totally arbitrary, these large-scale upheavals seem to come in pulses. These cataclysmic events seem to be grouped into 10 clusters, occurring every 27.5 million years or so.
Like an extremely slow heart rate. A pulse, if you will.

And this means that geological events, like the movement of continental plates or volcanic eruptions, may actually be tied to something, and may even be influencing each other.

The Earth Has a Pulse—A 27.5-Million-Year Cycle of Geological Activity
https://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publications/news/2021/june/earth-pulse.html
"The researchers posit that these pulses may be a function of cycles of activity in the Earth's interior—geophysical processes related to the dynamics of plate tectonics and climate. However, similar cycles in the Earth’s orbit in space might also be pacing these events."

Venus and Jupiter May Meddle With Earth’s Orbit and Climate

"Astrologers have maintained for centuries that the position of the planets impact people’s personalities and emotions. And while this idea lacks scientific proof, it turns out that planetary alignments do affect some things on Earth."

Earth’s Orbital Shifts May Have Triggered Ancient Global Warming

"Determining where Earth was tens of millions of years ago is a surprisingly thorny problem, because the sun and its planets form a chaotic system, in which minuscule orbital changes can, over time, magnify into enormous effects."
