After more than 80 years, the NFL team Washington Redskins has officially changed its name to Commanders.
For years, the team has been criticised for using a name that is seen as derogatory towards Native Americans.
The team owner resisted calls from mayors, senators and even presidents to change.
The team’s supporters who have been snapping up the new gear will be hoping the new name brings change to the performance on the field.
Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher reports from Landover, Maryland.
