Tesla posts record $1.1 billion profit despite semiconductor shortages

Despite a global semiconductor chip shortage Tesla earnings this quarter raked in 11.96 billion vs. the expected $11.3 billion. The company’s net income hit over a billion dollars for the first time, nearly 10 times what it saw in Q2 last year. The overall automotive industry revenues came in at $10.21 billion. Investigative journalist and Boom Bust co-host Ben Swann weighs in.
