Tennis star Peng Shuai missing after accusing Chinese politician of sexual assault

Where is Peng Shuai?

Prior to her disappearance, the Chinese tennis star publicly accused Zhang Gaoli, China's former vice premier, of sexual assault.

On the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Shuai said that for a decade, she had an on-and-off extramarital affair with Gaoli.

She also alleged that he forced her to have sex with him after a match three years ago, while his wife guarded the door.

Now an email that was recently sent from her account claims she is safe and the allegations are false.

As Mike Drolet reports, the suspicious statement she supposedly authored is one reason why concerns are growing around the world about her safety.
