Major U.S. telecom companies are delaying debuting 5G cellular networks near some airports, because airlines fear the technology could interfere with aircraft systems.
For months, airlines, aircraft manufacturers and even the the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have warned 5G radio frequencies could impact the signals of critical aircraft instruments. Such disruptions could lead to faulty readings, missed landings, or even crashes.
