#Myanmar police used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse crowds of anti-coup protesters who continued to demonstrate in #Yangon, near Tamwe Township police station, on Thursday.

The protesters held a peaceful #demonstration, sitting down while holding signs and chanting slogans against the military coup.

Several others gathered wearing protective helmets, gas masks, and shields at the front line, waiting for the police forces to arrive.

According to local news, at least one protester died during a violent crackdown in Yangon; several others were shot dead in other protests across the country, including in Myaing, Mandalay, Taungoo, and Bago.
