There are thousands of people who fear Taliban rule and wanted to make it out of Afghanistan and not been able to. Among them are girls and women who now have to live with uncertainty.

The Taliban assures the world the rights of women and girls will be protected, but some are unable to continue school after sixth grade and many women are being shut out of their work.

In a Global News exclusive from Kabul, Jeff Semple speaks with some girls and women about their anxiety for the future. He also talked with a senior Taliban spokesperson about those fears.
