यूपी में योगी सरकार ने ऐलान किया कि चैत्र नावरात्र के मौके पर राज्य के सभी मंदिरों में अखंड रामायण और दुर्गा सप्तशती का पाठ कराया जाए. समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्या ने कहा है कि तुलसीदास की रामचरित मानस महिलाओं को प्रताड़ित करने, शूद्र समाज को अपमानित करने और जातिसूचक शब्द कहने का काम करती है. उसका पाठ कराने का मतलब सरकार इनके सम्मान की दुश्मन है.
