राज्यसभा में बीजेपी सांसद किरोड़ी लाल मीणा ने UCC पर निजी बिल पेश किया था. जिसपर कांग्रेस और समाजवादी पार्टी ने ‘यूनिफॉर्म सिवल कोड’ बिल लागू करने का विरोध किया है. गुजरात में चुनाव जीतने के बाद भूपेन्द्र पटेल ने पहली ही बैठक में कहा कि UCC पर कमेटी बनाई जाएगी और आगे की कार्यवाही होगी. तो वहीं विपक्ष BJP के इस वादे पर सवाल उठा रहा है. In the Rajya Sabha, BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena introduced a private bill on UCC. On which Congress and Samajwadi Party have opposed the implementation of the 'Uniform Civil Code' bill. After winning the election in Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel said in the very first meeting that a committee will be formed on UCC and further action will be taken.
