Switzerland's climate shortfalls: Intl court links climate crisis and human rights

Europe’s top human rights court has ruled that the failure of the Swiss government to adequately tackle climate change is a violation of human rights. The case was brought by more than two thousand women aged 64 and above. They argued they're at risk of dying during heatwaves because the government has failed to meet targets for greenhouse gas reduction. The court rejected two other climate-related cases linked to France and Portugal.
