Supreme Court says only Congress, not states, can remove Trump from presidential ballots

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously that individual states cannot remove former president Donald Trump from their ballots based on the 14th Amendment. In an unsigned opinion, the court said only Congress, not states, can disqualify presidential candidates under the Constitution’s so-called “insurrection clause.” William Brangham reports.
