As many Canadians struggle with the rising cost of living, the holidays put an extra strain on bank accounts.

While Canada’s annual inflation rate was unchanged in November, groceries still take a big big out of a lot of peoples’ finances.

Global's Heidi Petracek, Mike Drolet, and Heather Yourex-West have been given a list, checked it twice, and scoured grocery stores in Halifax, Toronto and Calgary respectively to see who can put on the most affordable holiday dinner.
