The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has claimed migrants could "overwhelm" European countries - as he called for radical solutions to tackle illegal migration.
Mr Sunak was speaking at the right-wing Brothers of Italy gathering in Rome, hosted by the Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni - where there was plenty of mutual admiration on display.
The two countries agreed to finance a plan to return migrants stranded in Tunisia to their home countries.
