Intense street battles continue to rock Sudan’s capital Khartoum's after three days of fighting between rival military factions.

The violence follows a rift between a pair of generals, Sudan’s military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the commander of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

The sudden conflict broke out over the weekend after negotiations over the RSF’s integration into the county’s military broke down. The power struggle over who would lead the new force has left more than 180 people dead.

The international community has called for an end to the violence which could derail Sudan’s transition to democracy after decades of military rule.
