Starmer: I don't want to be that bloke who says 'I wish I'd spent more time with my children'

Sir Keir Starmer has told Sky News the space his father had for him as a child was "emotionally squeezed".

The Labour leader told Sky's Sophy Ridge that his mother's long-term illness meant much of his father's time was taken up caring for her.

As a consequence, he has made a concerted effort to spend more time with his own children.
