Star Wars actor Mark Hamill stopped by the White House press briefing room on Friday, after meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden. Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise and was mentored by Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film, told reporters he had dubbed Biden “Joebi-Wan Kenobi” in a play on words.

The 72-year-old film star, who often criticizes former president Donald Trump on social media, praised Biden’s legislative record and donned the same style of aviator sunglasses worn by the president, which he said Biden had given to him.

“I'm open to questions, although no Star Wars questions, please,” Hamill joked to reporters in his surprise appearance. “I came to the Obama White House, but I never was invited into the Oval Office, and it was a large gathering. So this one was really extra special.”

Hamill’s White House visit comes a day ahead of Star Wars Day, celebrated by fans of the space saga on May 4th, given the similarity of the phrase "May the Fourth Be With You" to the films' catchphrase "May the force be with you".
