After spending decades widely known as Captain James T. Kirk of 'Star Trek,' Canadian actor William Shatner is making science fiction a reality as he plans to take off into space next week.
Shatner, who is 90 years old, announced on Twitter that he is launching via billionaire Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin rocket, and he will be accompanied by Blue Origin's Vice President of Mission and Flight Operations Audrey Powers.
When he gets there, he will also make history as the oldest person to ever to travel into space. Mike Drolet has more.
