The people of Sri Lanka are struggling to survive in a country which has gone bankrupt.

After weeks of mass protests against the government, the former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had his resignation accepted by the country's parliament.

The Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has been officially been sworn in as interim President. He says he will establish law and order and follow the constitutional process.
