A spectacular concert has taken place at Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her 70 years on the throne.
The rock band Queen opened the musical performances, with appearances by Diana Ross, Sir Rod Stewart and Sir Elton John among many other big names.
The Queen, who is 96 and has been experiencing mobility problems was not able to be present at the party in person. However she made a surprise appearance in a recorded comedy sketch in which she offered tea to Paddington Bear and showed him a marmalade sandwich kept in her handbag.
Prince Charles and Prince William were among those paying tributes the Queen for her long years of service.
