With the lockdown easing, the number of children and young people attending A&E with psychiatric conditions is increasing month on month to around 100 a day.

Sky News has been given unique access to a child and adolescent mental health trust to see how the pandemic has affected children.

Sky’s People and Politics Correspondent Nick spent three weeks with Pennine Care NHS Trust Child and Adolescent Mental Health services for this special report.

Warning: This report contains references to self-harm and suicide. If you have been affected by any of the issues raised in this story, you can get help at any time from the Samaritans by calling 116 123.
