Spanish royals presided over a military parade on Wednesday in Madrid to mark the country's national day.

After the last two editions were marked by coronavirus restrictions, four thousand members of the military corps, 150 vehicles, and 84 aircraft participated in this year's edition.

A 54-metre Spanish flag was displayed in the air as two parachuters flew down and landed in front of King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

Most of the cabinet, regional chiefs, and members of parliament attended the ceremony where Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez received whistles and complaints from the people.
