A small aircraft that flew over restricted territory above the US capital and then crashed in a mountainous area in a neighbouring state was thought to be on autopilot.

The plane failed to respond to communication attempts and eventually crashed into mountains in Virginia after the jets were deployed to intercept it.

This couple of musicians had their recording session interrupted as the shockwave of the sonic boom hit them.
