BJP Accuses Congress Live Updates: केंद्रीय मंत्री और भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) की नेता स्मृति ईरानी ने गुरुवार (28 जुलाई, 2022) को राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू को "अपमानित" करने के लिए कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधा और उसके नेता अधीर रंजन चौधरी द्वारा उन्हें "राष्ट्रपति" कहे जाने के बाद माफी की मांग की। केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि चौधरी ने इस शब्द का इस्तेमाल अच्छी तरह जानते हुए किया कि यह मुर्मू और उनके कार्यालय को नीचा दिखाता है और भारत के मूल्यों के खिलाफ है। स्मृति ईरानी ने पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए कहा कि कांग्रेस को राष्ट्रपति और देश से माफी मांगनी चाहिए।

उन्होंने कहा, "एक गरीब परिवार की आदिवासी महिला जिसने इतिहास रचा है, उसे कांग्रेस लगातार नीचा दिखा रही है।"

ईरानी ने आरोप लगाया कि जब से भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाले एनडीए ने मुर्मू को अपना राष्ट्रपति पद का उम्मीदवार बनाया है, तब से कांग्रेस उन्हें "दुर्भावनापूर्ण" तरीके से निशाना बना रही है, और कहा कि उन्हें अपने नेताओं द्वारा "कठपुतली" और "बुराई का प्रतीक" कहा जाता था।

The Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Smriti Irani on Thursday (July 28, 2022) hit out at Congress for "demeaning" President Droupadi Murmu and demanded an apology after its leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury called her "rashtrapatni". The Union minister said Chowdhury used the term knowing well that it demeans Murmu and her office and is against India's values. The Congress should apologise to the President and the country, Smriti Irani said while talking to the reporters.

"A tribal woman from a poor family who created history is being continuously demeaned by the Congress," she said.

Irani alleged that the Congress has been targeting her "maliciously" ever since the BJP-led NDA named Murmu its presidential candidate, and said she was called a "puppet" and a "symbol of evil" by its leaders.
