A new sleeper train service has set off from Berlin to Paris, for the first time in almost a decade. Germany and France's transport ministers were there to see off the maiden voyage. The service is a collaboration between the two countries' national train operators as well as Austria's. Night trains have been experiencing a revival recently as an environmentally friendly alternative to air travel.
