When we think about the Summer Olympics, many of the popular events like gymnastics, swimming and the 100-metre dash usually come to mind. But the Tokyo Olympics are seeing their fair share of new events.

Long-time favourites like surfing and skateboarding are finally making their Olympic debut, while other events like softball are making a comeback after years of absence.

Mike Drolet looks at the fresh fare being offered to take the Games to new heights.
