Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid inked a four-year, supermax extension worth $196 million which keeps him in Philly through the 2026 season. Embiid was eligible for the contract after coming in second in the NBA MVP race and making the second All-NBA squad. Over at the Western and Southern Open, Benoit Paire upset fifth seed Denis Shapovalov in three sets to advance to the third round. It's the first time in four years that Paire has defeated a top ten player since 2017. RT America's Regina Ham reports.
