Jeremy Hunt says the sale of the UK arm of collapsed US lender Silicon Valley Bank to HSBC will protect customers and taxpayers.

The government and the Bank of England stepped in to "facilitate" a sale of SVB UK after its failure last week marked the biggest bank collapse since the financial crash.
