"A man isn’t sure if he should keep seeing his girlfriend because of her finances.

His girlfriend has over $200,000 in student loan debt, but he dreams of a stable financial future. He doesn’t know if this is a dealbreaker or not and went on Reddit’s “Relationship Advice” forum for help.

“I have been in a relationship for nearly 3 years. I am 31 and my partner is 25. I have recently started to look at where things are going for us if we take the next step and I started to get a little fearful,” he explained.

“I have absolutely no debt (car is paid off) and make 85k a year (medical field) with an emergency fund and about 25k in investments. I have worked extremely hard to get to the position I am in so I can eventually provide for a family and chase financial dreams like owning rental properties etc.”
