The Brierley Consultancy estimates that around 6,000 church buildings have closed across the country in the last 60 years. That's a hundred churches closing a year.

But what happens to a church building once it's no longer places of worship? Are abandoned church buildings worth saving - or, as some experts suggest, should we bring the bulldozers in?
