जम्मू-कश्मीर के दूरदराज के इलाकों में सड़क संपर्क को बढ़ावा देने के लिए केंद्र सरकार एक के बाद एक पहल कर ग्रामीणों को बेहतर सड़कें मुहैया कराकर उनकी मदद कर रही है। पहली बार राजौरी जिले का कोटरंका ब्लॉक अब कोटरंका-खवास हाईवे से जुड़ गया है। सड़क की लंबाई 32 किलोमीटर है और इस सड़क पर कई पुल बनाए गए हैं। पहले सड़क न होने की वजह से स्थानीय लोगों को कई परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ता था और उन्हें सड़क तक पहुंचने के लिए 20 से 30 किलोमीटर पैदल चलना पड़ता था।

To promote road connectivity in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the central government is taking one initiative after another to help the villagers by providing them better roads. For the first time, Kotranka block of Rajouri district is now connected to the Kotranka-Khawas highway. The length of the road is 32 kilometers and many bridges have been built on this road. Earlier, due to the absence of a road, the local people had to face many problems and they had to walk 20 to 30 kilometers to reach the road.
