पश्चिम बंगाल में संतों के अपमान पर घमासान छिड़ा है. इसके खिलाफ विरोध जताने साधु संत सड़क पर उतर चुके हैं. सीएम ममता बनर्जी की टिप्पणी का विरोध कर रहे हैं. संत स्वाभिमान यात्रा को विश्व हिंदू परिषद का समर्थन हासिल है. दरअसल, 19 मई को जलपाईगुड़ी में रामकृष्ण मिशन के आश्रम पर हमला हुआ था. आरोप है कि हमलावरों ने बंदूक की नोक पर संतों- कर्मचारियों से मारपीट की. इसे लेकर बीजेपी ने ममता सरकार को घेरा. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अपनी रैली में आरोप लगाया कि वोटबैंक के लिए ममता संतों को धमका रही हैं. ममता बनर्जी ने सफाई दी और दावा किया कि वो रामकृष्ण मिशन और भारत सेवाश्रम संघ के ख़िलाफ़ नहीं है.

It is alleged that the attackers beat up the saints and employees at gunpoint. BJP cornered Mamata government regarding this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged in his rally that Mamata is threatening saints for vote bank. Mamata Banerjee clarified and claimed that she is not against Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangh.
