For some, this has meant some families are seeing big delays at being able to move into their new homes. The Canadian Home Builders Association says this type of lengthy hold-up is becoming more common from coast to coast to coast.

Across the country, there's a lack of readily available homebuilding materials, plus a labour shortage creating even more delays. And as this issue impacts more Canadians with each passing month, some couples and families shared their own struggles with Anne Gaviola.
