Millions of Americans are under a severe storm threat right now, as several storm systems are bringing punishing winds, hail and tornadoes to the central plains states.

That’s in addition to the wildfires in the West. Some of these fires are still burning out of control and are moving dangerously close to a string of mountain villages.
