Villages in Spain’s northeastern region of Catalonia were swept by a rare hailstorm on Wednesday, leaving streets covered in ice and snow.
Eyewitness footage showed a vehicle trapped in a street by chunks of ice and cars driving along a road partially covered in the ice caused by the hailstorm in Sant Hilari Sacalm, in the Catalonia region.
The ice eventually melted, causing flooding in some homes.
