Heavy rain has triggered severe flooding in southern Manitoba, prompting people to flee their homes. Hardest hit right now is the Peguis First Nation, 180 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
More than 1,000 people are under a mandatory evacuation order, after ice-jams on the Fisher River drove up water levels. Roads are awash and some 480 homes are surrounded by water.
Brittany Greenslade reports from near the town of Carman to see how residents there are trying to protect their properties.
