At least 12 people have been killed in a stampede at a religious shrine in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The crush took place at the Hindu Mata Vaishno Devi, where devotees were marking the new year.
An investigation has begun to discover the origins of the stampede, and access to the shrine was halted for several hours, but was later resumed.
