1. The U.S. COVID-19 booster debate moves to an FDA vaccine advisory committee today. Health officials and vaccine makers say boosters are needed, however many scientists and vaccine experts disagree.

2. The U.S. ramped up security and Capitol police warned of potential violence ahead of a planned rally for January 6th rioters, for whom Donald Trump showed support.

3. France accused Biden of stabbing it in the back and acting like Trump after Paris was pushed aside from a historic Australia defense deal. UK PM Boris Johnson said the new security pact is not meant to be adversarial.

4. Thousands of migrants created a makeshift camp under a Texas bridge in the latest border emergency facing Biden. Food and water is said to be scarce amid intensely high temperatures.

5.South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh was arrested for plotting his own death. He allegedly conspired to have himself shot dead so that his son could collect a $10 million insurance payout, state police said.
