The speaker had said that he is waiting for the copy of the Supreme Court order.

कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी को शुक्रवार (4 अगस्त) को बड़ी राहत मिली. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मोदी सरनेम मानहानि मामले में उनकी सजा पर रोक लगा दी. 2019 में मोदी सरनेम पर टिप्पणी को लेकर गुजरात की एक कोर्ट ने राहुल गांधी को 2 साल की सजा सुनाई थी, जिसके बाद उनकी लोकसभा सदस्यता भी चली गई थी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट से सजा पर रोक तब तक जारी रहेगी, जब तक सूरत की सत्र अदालत से इस मामले में फैसला नहीं आ जाता. राहुल गांधी ने कन्विक्शन के खिलाफ सूरत की सत्र अदालत में अपील दायर कर रखी है, जो अभी लंबित है. ऐसे में राहुल गांधी को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से राहत तो मिली है लेकिन उनकी कानूनी मुश्किलें अभी पूरी तरह से खत्म नहीं हुई हैं. आइए जानते हैं अब इस केस में आगे क्या होगा? मार्च 2023 में निचली अदालत से 2 साल की सजा मिलने के बाद उनकी लोकसभा सदस्यता समाप्त हो गई थी. लोकसभा सचिवालय ने इस बारे में नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया था. अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट से सजा पर रोक के बाद राहुल गांधी एक बार फिर लोकसभा में लौटने के लिए तैयार हैं. शुक्रवार (4 अगस्त) को फैसला आने के बाद कांग्रेस सांसद अधीर रंजन चौधरी लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला से मिलने का समय मांगा था और उनसे राहुल गांधी की सदस्यता तत्काल बहाल करने की मांग की थी. स्पीकर ने कहा था कि वे सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश की कॉपी का इंतजार कर रहे हैं.
