Sarah Everard's family described her as "strong and principled", "a wonderful daughter and sister." in a statement released today. And they appealed for the public to help police with their investigation. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

This afternoon it emerged that the serving police officer under arrest on suspicion of her murder had been taken to hospital with serious head wounds but later returned to custody.
