Ahead of the bail hearing of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the premises of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh early in the morning. This raid was also in connection with the excise policy implemented earlier in Delhi in which Sisodia is in jail. The ED team reached the MP's residence at around seven in the morning and started the search.Apart from Sanjay Singh, ED officials also searched the premises of other people related to the case. The hearing on Sisodia's bail was adjourned till October 4 by the Supreme Court on September 15 after a joint request by the lawyers of both the parties. Two special leave petitions of the former Deputy Chief Minister against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and ED are listed for Wednesday. He is facing a money laundering probe in connection with the alleged excise duty policy scam and has been in jail since February.Meanwhile, a Delhi court on Tuesday allowed Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party Lok Sabha MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, and businessman Dinesh Arora to turn approver in the money laundering case related to the scam. Both Arora and Raghav Magunta were arrested by the ED and are currently on bail.
दिल्ली के पूर्व उपमुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की बुधवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जमानत पर सुनवाई से पहले प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने सुबह-सुबह आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के राज्यसभा सांसद संजय सिंह के परिसरों पर छापेमारी की. यह छापेमारी भी दिल्‍ली में पूर्व में लागू की गई आबकारी नीति के सिलसिले में थी जिसमें सिसौदिया जेल में बंद हैं. ईडी की टीम सुबह करीब सात बजे सांसद के आवास पर पहुंची और तलाशी शुरू की.

ईडी के अधिकारियों ने संजय सिंह के अलावा मामले से जुड़े अन्य लोगों के परिसरों पर भी तलाशी ली. सिसोदिया की जमानत पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट की ओर से 15 सितंबर को दोनों पक्षों के वकीलों के संयुक्त अनुरोध के बाद सुनवाई 4 अक्‍टूबर तक के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई थी. केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) और ईडी के खिलाफ पूर्व उपमुख्‍यमंत्री की दो विशेष अनुमति याचिकाएं बुधवार के लिए सूचीबद्ध हैं. वह कथित उत्पाद शुल्क नीति घोटाले के संबंध में मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग जांच का सामना कर रहे हैं और फरवरी से जेल में हैं.

इस बीच, दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने मंगलवार को वाईएसआर कांग्रेस पार्टी के लोकसभा सांसद मगुंटा श्रीनिवासुलु रेड्डी के बेटे राघव मगुंटा और व्यवसायी दिनेश अरोड़ा को घोटाले से संबंधित मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में सरकारी गवाह बनने की अनुमति दे दी. अरोड़ा और राघव मगुंटा दोनों को ईडी ने गिरफ्तार किया था और फिलहाल जमानत पर हैं
