Under the ongoing campaign to prevent smuggling under the direction of SP Somendra Meena on the Sonauli border of Sonauli police station area of Maharajganj district, Sonauli police station chief Abhishek Singh on Thursday (22 February) And SSB intelligence and investigation agencies along with outpost incharge Anagh Kumar got this success. Around 5 am on Thursday, police and SSB personnel arrested a Nepali citizen. 9.900 kg of hashish has been recovered from it. He has been identified as Basant Khatri, son of Ghorai Prahari Ram Bahadur Khatri, resident of Ward No. 9 of Dong district of Nepal.
उत्तर प्रदेश के महाराजगंज जिले में स्थित सोनौली बार्डर पर ड्रग्स तस्‍करी के गोरखधंधे पर पुलिस और सुरक्षा एजेंसियों का चाबुक चला है. महराजगंज पुलिस, एसएसबी और सुरक्षा एजेंसियों को पूरे दिन चले ज्‍वॉइंट ऑपरेशन में बड़ी सफलता मिली है. पुलिस, एसएसबी और सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने कुल 119 किलोग्राम चरस की बड़ी खेप को पकड़ी है. इसमें मामले में पुलिस ने 8 आरोपियों को अरेस्‍ट किया है. इन आरोपियों में पांच महिलाएं भी शामिल हैं. इनमें एक आरोपी नेपाल और चार बिहार के रहने वाले बताए जा रहे हैं. अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में इसकी कीमत 90 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक बताई जा रही है.महराजगंज जिले के सोनौली थानाक्षेत्र के सोनौली बार्डर पर एसपी सोमेन्‍द्र मीणा के निर्देशन में तस्‍करी की रोकथाम के लिए चल रहे अभियान के तहत गुरुवार (22 फरवरी) को सोनौली थानाध्‍यक्ष अभिषेक सिंह और चौकी इंचार्ज अनघ कुमार के साथ एसएसबी इंटेलिजेंस और जांच एजेंसियों को ये कामयाबी मिली. गुरुवार की सुबह 5 बजे के करीब पुलिस और एसएसबी के जवानों ने एक नेपाली नागरिक को अरेस्‍ट किया है. इसके पास से 9.900 किलोग्राम चरस बरामद की गई है. इसकी पहचान नेपाल के दांग जिला के वार्ड नंबर 9 के रहने वाले घोराई प्रहरी राम बहादुर खत्री के पुत्र बसंत खत्री के रुप में हुई है
