Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray's offer of Lok Sabha ticket to Nitin Gadkari from the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). He said, “Nitin Gadkari is our main leader. He contests elections from Nagpur. When the first list of BJP candidates was released, there was no discussion among the Mahayuti allies (BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCB). Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "A Once the decision of the grand alliance (on seat-sharing) is taken and there is a discussion, the name of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will come first. He said, "The condition of Uddhav Thackeray's own party is not good, the head of such a party is Nitin." Making an offer to a national level leader like Gadkari is like an unimportant person offering to make someone the President of America.
महाराष्ट्र के उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि जब राज्य में सत्तारूढ़ महायुति गठबंधन लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए अपने सीट बंटवारे समझौते को अंतिम रूप दे देगा उसके बाद केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी का नाम उम्मीदवारों में सबसे पहले सामने आएगा.भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) के नेता देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने शिवसेना (यूबीटी) प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे की ओर से विपक्षी गठबंधन महाविकास आघाडी (एमवीए) से नितिन गडकरी को लोकसभा टिकट देने संबंधी पेशकश की आलोचना की. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘नितिन गडकरी हमारे प्रमुख नेता हैं. वह नागपुर से चुनाव लड़ते हैं. जब बीजेपी के उम्मीदवारों की पहली सूची जारी की गई थी, तो महायुति के सहयोगियों (बीजेपी, एकनाथ शिंदे के नेतृत्व वाली शिवसेना और अजित पवार के नेतृत्व वाली एनसीबी) के बीच कोई चर्चा नहीं हुई थी."उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा, "एक बार महायुति का निर्णय (सीट-बंटवारे पर) हो जाएगा और चर्चा होगी तो सबसे पहले केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी का नाम आएगा.’’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘उद्धव ठाकरे की अपनी पार्टी की स्थिति ठीक नहीं है, ऐसी पार्टी के प्रमुख का नितिन गडकरी जैसे राष्ट्रीय स्तर के नेता को प्रस्ताव देना वैसा ही है जैसे कोई महत्वहीन व्यक्ति किसी को अमेरिका का राष्ट्रपति बनाने की पेशकश कर रहा हो.’’
