As part of the NDTV - Dettol India Banega Swasth India campaign, a special townhall with Campaign Ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan titled Saluting The COVID Heroes was organised. The aim was to honour the efforts of those ordinary people who made extraordinary contribution in the fight against COVID-19. The crisis of lack of oxygen, medicines, ambulances, beds, and even food was all too real during the second wave of the pandemic. But in this time of mayhem there were many who came forward to help selflessly and at great risk to their own lives, to save others and support them in their worst hour of need.
