As the Russian war in Ukraine shows no signs of ending, there is a looming impact on food availability for the rest of the world that will see supply dwindle and consumers paying more.
The eastern European country supplies a large amount of grain, accounting for nine per cent of the world's wheat and 44 per cent of global sunflower oil exports and other crops. But due to the war some of the food production and storage won't happen this year.
As Sean O'Shea reports, consumers should brace themselves for the effects of the food supply disruption which will lead to less stock and more prices going up at the grocery store.
