The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold a high-level meeting on Ukraine during General Assembly week, where world leaders are expected to take part, possibly including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, he claimed Russia was trying to manipulate global food shortages to win international recognition of land it grabbed from Kyiv.
Zelenskyy will be in Ottawa later this week on his first visit to Canada since Russia began its invasion of the eastern European country in February 2022, sources tell Global News. Zelenskyy is making the trip following his visit to the U.S. and the United Nations General Assembly that is currently underway.
